"Hey, everyone, I'm Hope Darst, and I am so excited to tell you about my brand new Christmas song, Be Born in Me. I actually sang it for the first time 15 years ago, and I dreamed that if I ever got to sing a Christmas song and put one out in the world, this would be it. It's the story of Mary giving birth to Jesus and having that moment of surrender where it's really her saying, "Your will, not mine, Lord," and recognising the power of what it is for not Jesus just to be born, but for the spirit of Christ to be born in us. So I pray this Christmas season that you will celebrate all the wonderful things, but ultimately, you will celebrate the birth of our King, our Saviour, who not only was born for us, but now lives inside of us. Hope Darst is a worship leader, songwriter, wife, and mother whose ministry has been shaped by seasons of rest and renewal. After years in full-time ministry, she stepped back in 2013 to focus on her family—an experience that later helped lay the foundation for The Belonging Co in Nashville. She eventually returned to worship and songwriting, signing with Fair Trade Services and releasing her debut album Peace Be Still in 2020. The title track became a defining song in her career. Her music, including recent releases like “Mighty Name of Jesus” and “Be Born in Me,” reflects her desire to create worship that leads listeners into meaningful encounters with God.
